This bundle contains...

This is a bundle of the three "Unfolding Spiral Curve" products. These products provide GeoNodes node trees for different solutions to create an unfolding, or curling spiral curve effect. The resultant curves are unified, can be shaped or textured, and unfolded to any degree.

You can utilize your own custom curves, shape them and bevel them in the node setup to your desire, and apply your own material to it. (The generated UV Map is exposed to an Attribute, and accessible in the Shader Editor)

The number of peeling sides, the degree of their individual peeling is completely customizable.

The file is optimized for and rendered in Eevee (Render Viewport Animation). Of course, you can set up any renderer you wish.

NOTE

- Since it is a concept demonstration, it is kept as simple as possible. The GeoNodes trees are kept clean for easier readability and have detailed explanations. Everything is built from the base. The point of these setups is to provide a base core of the concept, node from node, instead of contracting all into node groups with exposed settings, which makes everything harder to read and dissect.

You can embellish, refine as you wish based on the core or realize your own ideas.

- It can be applied to "any curve" ! Meaning, that the setup works by taking a curve, then modifying it into an unfolding spiral, beveling, shaping and texturing it.  Modify the relevant parts (like the resultant shape, length, resolution) to achieve your desired effect ! (The UV Map of the result is exposed to the Shader editor, so you can use any material, you wish !)

-If you are not adding a camera, be sure to disconnect the Principled Volume node in the Shader Editor (World section)
