XMap - A real-time map companion app for XPlane on Android

X-Map is a real time companion app for the popular flight simulator, XPlane. It displays the real-time location of the user during the flight, along with the constantly updating coordinates and flight altitude. The app works on Android phones.

Installation -

• The app comes in the APK format. Simply download the app, and click on it on your Android phone, wait for the installation process, then launch the app. (NOTE - You might give a permission to "Install applications from unknown sources". The app is completely safe, and you can run a check on it before install, if you wish it. )

Instructions -

• The app has an Info and Help screen with detailed instructions. In general, the android phone running the app and the PC running XPlane must be in the same network (Simply put, using the same WiFI). XPlane must be set to send the "Location and altitude" data as UDP to the network. ( General Settings > Network Output section, where you also add the IP Adress of your android device, and a port to use. The IP Adress is automatically detected in the app for ease of use, and a port is also set up - all in all, the one-time setup takes seconds and is convenient)
